Offset Pays Tribute to Michael Jackson’s Era in Visual for New Single “Fan” and Announces New Album ‘Set It Off’
Offset is gearing up for the release of his second solo album, “Set It Off,” and ahead of its launch, he’s dropped his latest single, “Fan.”
Produced by a talented lineup including Aaron Bow, FNZ, Teddy Walton, Thank You Fizzle, and Thurd, this fresh single from the long-standing Migos rapper comes complete with a music video directed by Offset himself.
Filmed in Los Angeles, the music video showcases Offset’s deep admiration for the legendary Michael Jackson. Throughout the visual, Offset takes on the King of Pop’s iconic eras, outfits, and music videos, paying tribute to classics like “Thriller,” “Billie Jean,” and “Smooth Criminal.” In an official statement accompanying the release of “Fan,” Offset elaborated on his choice to incorporate Michael Jackson’s influence into the video.
“I’ve dedicated over two years to this project, and it holds a personal significance for me. This season marks a new chapter in my life,” Offset shared. “I feel like Michael Jackson, transitioning from a successful group to breaking records and achieving superstardom as a solo artist. This body of work is therapeutic for me and a heartfelt letter to my fans and supporters.”

Recently, Offset unveiled the title and artwork for his upcoming second solo album, “Set It Off.” Serving as the follow-up to his 2019 solo debut, “Father of 4,” this highly anticipated album is set to drop on October 13. Alongside “Fan,” the LP will feature Offset and Cardi B’s recent collaborative hit single, “Jealousy.”
