In a recent development, controversial rapper 6ix9ine has been conditionally released from a Dominican jail after his arrest on charges of domestic violence, as reported by Diario Libre.

Following Domestic Violence Arrest The Brooklyn-born artist, whose real name is Daniel Hernández, was granted conditional release, subject to specific conditions. He has been ordered to pay a $510 deposit, participate in government counseling, and regularly meet with authorities every two months as they conduct their investigation into allegations of assault brought forward by his girlfriend, singer Yailin La Mas Viral.

During the hearing on Thursday (Jan. 25), Wanda Díaz, Yailin’s mother, was absent due to health issues. However, Judge Fátima Veloz issued a protection order for Díaz, allowing her to pursue the domestic violence case against 6ix9ine should she choose to do so. The allegations against the rapper involve both physical and psychological violence against Yailin, also known as Jorgena Lulu Guillermo Díaz. The case is currently under investigation by the Department of General Violence in the Dominican Republic.

Contradictory Statements Yailin’s attorney, Cándido Simó, conveyed to the judge during the hearing that her client did not consider herself a victim in the case. Despite this assertion, prosecutors argued that 6ix9ine displayed a pattern of extreme violence, allegedly assaulting his girlfriend on multiple occasions and in various locations. They also raised concerns about the rapper’s purported influence over Yailin, suggesting a form of “brainwashing” throughout their relationship, as per the newspaper’s reports.
