Veteran lyricist LoDeck joins forces with California production collective The Golden Godz for Dinner At Dorsia, a bold and meticulously crafted album that blends futuristic production with classic hip-hop fundamentals. Set for release on June 7, 2026, Dinner At Dorsia draws inspiration from American Psycho, using the novel’s iconic restaurant reference as a metaphor for exclusivity, status, and the hidden forces operating beneath the surface. Much like the story that inspired it, the album explores themes of identity, perception, and the tension between visibility and invisibility in modern culture.

For LoDeck, the project emerged from growing frustration with what he sees as an increasingly overcrowded musical landscape where originality often struggles to break through the noise. Encouraged by producer Sol626, LoDeck returned to the studio with a renewed focus, determined to create a project rooted in strong songwriting, meaningful concepts, and authentic hip-hop craftsmanship.

The result is an album that balances innovation with tradition. While the production pushes into futuristic territory through layered sound design and forward-thinking arrangements, the lyricism remains grounded in the storytelling, wordplay, and artistic discipline that helped define hip-hop’s golden eras.

At the center of the album’s sound is Sol626, who produced the project in its entirety. His production provides a cohesive backdrop that allows each artist to bring their unique style while maintaining a unified sonic identity throughout the album. The project was recorded at Junxion Studios in Las Vegas, with production developed in Riverside, California, and final mixing and mastering completed in Los Angeles by DJ Obi.

DJ Obi’s contributions extend beyond engineering duties. In addition to handling the album’s final sound, he also provides DJ cuts and live bass performances, helping shape the project’s dynamic and immersive listening experience.

One of the album’s greatest strengths lies in its remarkable guest roster. LoDeck assembled a lineup that reflects decades of underground hip-hop excellence, featuring appearances from Smoothe Da Hustler, Bigg Jus, YESH, Skech185, JAKPROGRESSO, Boxguts, FT, Mic King, Sutterhouse Swish, and several other respected voices from across the independent hip-hop landscape.

The significance of those appearances goes beyond name recognition. Artists such as Smoothe Da Hustler, Bigg Jus, and YESH helped shape underground hip-hop history, while newer voices like Skech185 represent the genre’s future. Bringing those generations together helps make Dinner At Dorsia feel both timeless and contemporary.

The project was also influenced by the passing of Chino XL, whose impact on lyric-driven hip-hop continues to resonate throughout the underground scene. That influence, combined with the album’s broader social and philosophical themes, gives the project an added sense of purpose and reflection.
