Tyla Pauses Tour Due to Injury

Tyla, known for her hit single “Water,” took to Instagram on Thursday to deliver some disappointing news to her fans: she can no longer continue her tour due to an injury. The tour, which was scheduled to kick off on March 21 in Oslo, Norway, has been put on hold indefinitely.
Expressing gratitude to her fans for helping her achieve her “life-long dream,” Tyla shared the difficult decision she had to make in light of her worsening injury.
“For the past year, I’ve been silently suffering with an injury that has tragically worsened,” she revealed. “I’ve seen doctors and specialists with high hopes, but the pain has only become more agonizing as has the severity of the situation.”
While she did not disclose the specifics of her injury, Tyla expressed her heartbreak over having to cancel the tour, especially after working so hard to bring her music to her fans.
“I am absolutely heartbroken to have to say this but as of right now, I won’t be able to proceed with the tour,” she shared. “In consulting with medical professionals, it’s become increasingly clear that continuing any festival or tour dates would jeopardize my long-term health and safety.”
As a result, Tyla announced the cancellation of the North American leg of her tour, with plans to refund ticketholders. She also assured fans that she would reschedule her UK and Europe dates, emphasizing her commitment to delivering a spectacular show once she is able to return to the stage.
