Rihanna, known for keeping fans in suspense, took her time once again in revealing the name of her second child, following the birth of RZA. Almost a month after welcoming their second son, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have now shared that their newest bundle of joy goes by the name Riot Rose Mayers.
Riot made his entrance into the world in early August in Los Angeles. At the time, the power couple had no immediate plans to introduce their newborn to the public, according to a source close to them, as reported by Entertainment Tonight. However, details from the birth certificate, obtained by The Blast, pinpoint Riot’s birth date as August 1, 2023, at 7:41 a.m., which differs from the August 3 date previously reported by TMZ.

Both Riot and his older brother RZA bear names with special significance to their rapper father. RZA Athelson Mayers’ name was unveiled just a few days ahead of his first birthday, and he shares a middle name with A$AP Rocky, whose full name is Rakim Athelson Mayer. As for Riot, the New York City rapper dropped a Pharrell-produced track titled “Riot” earlier in the summer, hinting at the name’s origin.
