Lil Durk Faces Additional Charges in Murder-for-Hire Case: Superseding Indictment Adds 2 Felonies

Lil Durk has been hit with more legal trouble following a superseding federal grand jury indictment that accuses him of conspiring to “murder a rival rapper,” according to a statement by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California on Friday.

The latest indictment, filed on Nov. 7, sees Durk added as the lead defendant, bringing two additional felony charges in a case where he was previously named in a criminal complaint. The indictment stems from an August 2022 shooting incident in Los Angeles, in which a relative of the intended target was killed.

The other defendants listed include Kavon London Grant (28), Deandre Dontrell Wilson (33), Keith Jones (33), David Brian Lindsey (33), and Asa Houston (36). All are linked to the 2022 shooting that targeted a rival but resulted in the death of his cousin instead.

Durk faces serious allegations including conspiracy, use of interstate facilities to commit murder-for-hire resulting in death, and weapons charges related to the use and possession of firearms and a machine gun in furtherance of a violent crime. If convicted, he and the other defendants could face life sentences.

Prosecutors claim Durk’s feud with the rival rapper—identified only as “T.B.”—is connected to the 2020 shooting death of his associate, King Von, an artist under Durk’s Only the Family (OTF) label. The initials “T.B.” are believed to refer to Tyquian Bowman, also known as Quando Rondo. It was in August 2022 that Rondo’s cousin was fatally shot at an L.A. gas station, the same incident now at the center of the charges against Durk.

This case first surfaced in October following Durk’s arrest in Florida, where he was held in Broward County by the U.S. Marshals. Following Durk’s arrest, several other individuals connected to OTF were also detained.

Complex has reached out to Durk’s representatives for comment, and further updates on this case may be forthcoming.
