Emerging Afrofusion artist JONASKAY teams up with emerging R&B talent AMIRV on their compelling new single “TELL ME WHY,” produced by The French Tailor and accompanied by a music video from promising director Maël GUENEAU.

JONASKAY, a Congo-born, Angola-raised artist who has called France home since 2016, brings his unique multicultural perspective to this collaboration. Known for seamlessly blending Portuguese, Lingala, French, and English in his music, JONASKAY has established himself as a distinctive voice in the Afrobeat Urban scene. His artistry, supported by LE PASSE MURAILLE and published by EYAYA, reflects both playful creativity and profound emotional depth.

Featured artist AMIRV, who began her musical journey posting covers on Instagram in 2020, made her official debut in 2023 with the self-produced single “Beau Garçon.” At just 20 years old, she represents the fresh voice of a new generation of French R&B artists.

“TELL ME WHY” marks JONASKAY’s sixth single release and follows his successful participation in LA LUNE DES PIRATES’ “Objectif Lune” program in 2023. The track was recorded at L’Etoile du Sud studio, with production by Amiens-based beatmaker The French Tailor, creating a perfect fusion of both artists’ musical influences.

The accompanying video, directed by up-and-coming filmmaker Maël GUENEAU, provides a striking visual complement to the song’s emotional resonance.
