Dionne Warwick will be honored at the 28th annual Angel Ball, scheduled for Oct. 19, 2026, at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. The annual black-tie fundraiser is organized by Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research and supports research into blood cancers.

Warwick is among three honorees announced for this year’s event, joining actress and singer Lynda Carter and entrepreneur Nicola “Coco” Verses. The honorees are being recognized for their philanthropic contributions and support of charitable causes.

The six-time Grammy Award winner has maintained a career spanning more than six decades. Warwick has recorded 56 singles that reached the Billboard Hot 100 and has accumulated 80 charting singles across the Hot 100, R&B and adult contemporary charts. She has also been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the Grammy Hall of Fame and the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The 2026 Angel Ball will also feature a live performance by Shaggy, while Grammy and Tony Award-nominated singer and actress Deborah Cox is scheduled to serve as emcee. Star Jones and Dr. Stephen D. Nimer are among the other special guests expected at the event.

Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation was established by songwriter Denise Rich and her daughters in memory of Rich’s daughter, Gabrielle Rich Aouad, who died at age 27 from acute myelogenous leukemia. The Angel Ball has since become the foundation’s signature fundraising event.

According to the foundation, it has funded more than $47 million in research grants since its founding in 1996. The grants support early-career scientists working on treatments, prevention and potential cures for leukemia, lymphoma and related blood cancers.

Warwick is also preparing to release “DWuets,” described as the final album of her 65-year recording career. The project features songs written by Oscar-nominated songwriter Diane Warren and production from Damon Elliott, with collaborations including Cynthia Erivo and John Legend.

The 2026 Angel Ball will take place Monday, Oct. 19, at Cipriani Wall Street in Manhattan, with proceeds from the evening continuing to support Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation’s blood cancer research programs.
