Alison Krauss & Union Station Cancel Upcoming Tour Dates: ‘This Decision Was Not Made Lightly’

Alison Krauss and Union Station have canceled all of their remaining 2026 tour dates after doctors advised Krauss to take a period of vocal rest. The announcement was made Sept. 10, with the group saying the decision was made to allow the singer to focus on her recovery and vocal health.

The cancellation affects 17 scheduled performances from Sept. 11 through Oct. 3. The dates included shows in Davenport, Iowa; Highland Park and Champaign, Illinois; Evansville, Indiana; Nashville and St. Louis; Austin, Texas; Norman and Lubbock, Texas; Flagstaff, Arizona; Las Vegas; and several California cities.

In the statement, the group said the decision was not made lightly because of its commitment to fans. The band also said that prioritizing Krauss’ health and vocal integrity was necessary and expressed hope of returning to the affected cities in the future.

Fans who purchased tickets for the canceled performances will receive full refunds. The cancellations include dates that had been scheduled for this weekend, including the Sept. 11 performance at the Adler Theatre in Davenport and the Sept. 12 and 13 shows in Illinois.

The canceled concerts were part of the group’s 2026 Arcadia Tour, supporting Arcadia, Alison Krauss & Union Station’s first album together in 14 years. The album was released in March 2025 and marked the band’s return following a lengthy period between releases.

Krauss’ vocal-rest announcement comes as the group had been scheduled to continue touring through the end of September and into early October. Upcoming listings had included performances at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas and other venues before the cancellations were announced.

During Union Station’s extended break between albums, Krauss continued releasing music, including her collaborations with Robert Plant and several solo projects. Union Station’s catalog includes albums such as Two Highways, Every Time You Say Goodbye, So Long So Wrong, New Favorite, Lonely Runs Both Ways and Paper Airplane.

The band has not announced a new schedule for the canceled performances. Its statement said the group hopes to return to the cities affected by the cancellation at a later time.
