Cardi B Drops Hints About Second Album on ‘Invasion of Privacy’ Anniversary
Celebrating the sixth anniversary of her groundbreaking debut album, “Invasion of Privacy,” Cardi B took to X (formerly Twitter) to reflect on her journey and offer a tantalizing glimpse into her highly anticipated sophomore project.
Back in 2018, “Invasion of Privacy” made waves, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and snagging a Grammy win for Best Rap Album at the 2019 Grammy Awards. The album boasted chart-topping hits like “Bodak Yellow” and “I Like It,” solidifying Cardi’s status as a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.
In her post on Saturday (April 6), Cardi reminisced about the monumental success of her debut while dropping subtle hints about what’s to come next. “6 years ago I released my first album and it broke so many records GAH LEE!!” she wrote. “6 years later I’m preparing to drop the next one this year.. it’s so different from what everyone is expecting and I’m sooo excited.”

Expressing gratitude to her fans for their unwavering support, Cardi concluded her message with a promise to share more updates soon, despite her recent busy schedule.
Although details about her upcoming project remain shrouded in mystery, Cardi has been keeping fans on their toes with recent releases. Just last month, she unveiled the single “Enough (Miami)” along with a visually stunning music video directed by Patience Harding. This followed the drop of “Like What (Freestyle)” two weeks prior.
Furthermore, Cardi showcased her versatility by lending her talents to “Puntería,” the opening track from Shakira‘s recent album “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran,” released on March 22.
As anticipation continues to build, fans eagerly await further news about Cardi B’s second album, which is yet to receive an official release date.
