Young Thad F introduces “Skiddie Scat,” a standout track from his three-song EP released during February in recognition of Black History Month and the spirit of connection surrounding Valentine’s Day. The project reflects both celebration and reflection, honoring the individuals and communities who have contributed to the advancement of Black culture and progress.
“Skiddie Scat” is built on strong instrumental foundations that combine groove-driven production with expressive lyricism. The track carries a lively energy while drawing inspiration from historical and cultural imagery. Its sound evokes the atmosphere of classic jazz-era spaces and underground performance rooms, creating a mood that blends nostalgia with modern hip-hop rhythm.

The EP was recorded in collaboration with engineer M. Keys at Creation Station Studio, where the production was shaped to capture both texture and character. Through layered instrumentation and detailed mixing, the project builds a sonic environment that feels immersive and atmospheric while keeping the focus on storytelling and rhythm.
As part of the larger three-track release, “Skiddie Scat” stands comfortably on its own while contributing to the broader concept of the project.
