White House Quietly Deletes ICE Video After Sabrina Carpenter Backlash

In early December 2025, the White House shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) depicting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents detaining immigrants, paired with a snippet of Sabrina Carpenter’s 2024 hit song “Juno.” The post included the lyric “Have you ever tried this one? Bye-bye ,” framing the video in support of immigration-enforcement actions.

Carpenter responded publicly on X, condemning the video and demanding the removal of her music. “This video is evil and disgusting,” she wrote. “Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda.” Her post gathered massive traction — millions of likes and shares — and triggered widespread criticism of the use of her song in a politically charged video.

Within days, the White House removed the post from its X account. While the video reportedly remained accessible elsewhere briefly, the version using Carpenter’s music was deleted — and the audio was stripped in subsequent reposts.  According to sources, the deletion came quietly — without any official explanation from the administration.

The incident added to ongoing debates over the unauthorized use of songs by public figures or institutions in political messaging. Carpenter joins others who have publicly rejected such use of their music.
