Ella Langley, Fuerza Regida, Post Malone & More Power the Southwest Sweat Playlist: See the Playlist

The Southwest’s diverse musical identity is taking center stage in Billboard’s latest Movement Mix, with Ella Langley, Fuerza Regida, Post Malone and a wide range of country, música mexicana, Tejano, rock and pop artists featured on the new “Southwest Sweat” playlist. The playlist, powered by Planet Fitness, was released Sept. 28 and was built around the music being streamed across major Southwestern cities.

“Southwest Sweat” draws from the top 200 tracks streamed across Austin, El Paso, Phoenix and Tucson since the beginning of 2026. Billboard’s editorial team combined that streaming and consumption data with selections representing the sounds associated with the region, creating a playlist that moves between contemporary hits and established Southwestern favorites.

Ella Langley appears with “Choosin’ Texas,” while Post Malone is represented by his Morgan Wallen collaboration “I Had Some Help.” Fuerza Regida and Grupo Frontera contribute “ME JALO,” adding música mexicana to a playlist that also includes country, Tejano and rock selections.

The playlist also reaches back to George Strait’s “Amarillo by Morning,” Jon Pardi’s “Head Over Boots” and Bobby Pulido’s “Desvelado.” Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” meanwhile, brings a country-pop crossover sound to the collection, while Jimmy Eat World represents the alternative-rock side of the Southwest mix.

Other selections include Fuerza Regida’s “Marlboro Rojo,” Grupo Frontera and Bad Bunny’s “un x100to,” Michael Jackson’s “Beat It,” Bad Bunny’s “BAILE INoLVIDABLE,” Blake Shelton’s “Texas” and Lil Uzi Vert’s “Just Wanna Rock.” The songs span different generations and genres while maintaining the playlist’s focus on tracks connected to movement and regional listening habits.

Ella Langley’s presence comes as the country singer continues to appear prominently across contemporary country playlists. Her “Choosin’ Texas” is also currently featured among her leading tracks on Spotify, alongside songs including “you look like you love me” with Riley Green and “I Had Some Help” collaborator Morgan Wallen’s “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” which features Langley.

The Movement Mix series uses Billboard editorial curation alongside Luminate streaming and consumption data to create region-focused playlists. The Southwest edition reflects listening activity in Austin, El Paso, Phoenix and Tucson while incorporating the broader musical traditions associated with Texas, border communities and the desert Southwest.

“Southwest Sweat” is part of Planet Fitness’ wider Movement Mix initiative, with the latest playlist presenting a selection of songs intended to accompany workouts and other forms of movement. The playlist is now available for listeners following its Sept. 28 release.
