New York City girl group UNYTED explores a more rhythmic, playful side of their sound with “Check Y’Self,” their third single and latest step towards their upcoming debut album, Glass Ceiling. Built around a retro-inspired hip-hop sound, the track pairs an old-school feel with confident flows, infectious grooves and high-energy choreography.

Made up of Aria, Daphne, Bambi and Jazzy, UNYTED brings together tight harmonies, commanding vocals and a strong stage presence. The four members offer their own perspective on the pop girl group tradition, drawing from pop, R&B, dance, rock and hip-hop. With “Check Y’Self,” they move into a new musical direction while keeping their focus on authenticity and empowerment.

The release also highlights how the group has been developing its sound across its first three singles. Their debut, “Anti-Freeze,” introduced UNYTED through warmth and vulnerability. They followed it with “Get Over Yourself,” a fierce pop anthem centred on confidence and independence. Now, “Check Y’Self” brings a more urban, groove-driven approach, showing another side of the group’s musical identity.

The four members each bring a distinct character to the group. Aria is the Sun Siren Princess, Daphne the Cosmic Siren Princess, Bambi the Nature Siren Princess and Jazzy the Dream Siren Princess. Drawing on mythology and modern artistry, UNYTED combines expressive vocals, sharp choreography and personal storytelling with a colourful, genre-blending sound.

Before coming together as UNYTED, the members were introduced through their sub-unit UN3TED (U3), which released “Vibin’ (Siren Mix)” and “Watch Me” in 2024. They have since joined forces as a full group, building a musical identity around resilience, self-expression and unity.

“Check Y’Self” is the third release in a series of singles leading up to UNYTED’s debut album, Glass Ceiling, which will also include the track. As they continue to expand their sound, the group invites listeners to move, groove and grow alongside them. Their wider mission remains rooted in spreading joy, love and empowerment through music.
