Terry Jones Releases New EP and Powerful Music Video for “Silent Like Chaplin”
Multifaceted artist Terry Jones has unveiled a new EP in collaboration with Miami via Cali, Colombia-based rapper/artist Dashius Clay. To mark this release, Jones is sharing a compelling music video for “Silent Like Chaplin,” a single from his album “Friday The 14th” that secured him an album deal with Boost Collective.
The music video, directed by John Zeller, offers a poignant commentary on the treatment of outspoken Black voices in America. Jones explains, “This video tells the story of how ‘outspoken’ Blacks in America are often treated negatively for having opinions. Black public figures are always treated well when they ‘stay in line’ with societal standards. Anytime we speak out, they want to silence us with intimidation.”
The release of this video and EP marks a significant moment in Jones’ career as he continues to evolve as an artist, using his platform to address important social issues while showcasing his musical talents.
“Silent Like Chaplin” is now available on all major streaming platforms.
