Rema & Ice Spice Collaborate on New Single, ‘Pretty Girl’

This exciting collaboration marks the first time the Bronx-born rapper has worked with the Nigerian Afro-rave sensation, Rema. While this may be their debut track together, both artists are no strangers to successful collaborations. Ice Spice boasts four Billboard Hot 100 top 10 hits with fellow artists, including “Karma” with Taylor Swift (peaked at No. 2), “Boy’s a Liar, Pt. 2” with PinkPantheress (No. 3), “Princess Diana” with Nicki Minaj (No. 4), and “Barbie World” with Minaj and Aqua (No. 7). On the other hand, Rema’s remix of “Calm Down” with Selena Gomez reached No. 3 on the Hot 100 and dominated Billboard’s U.S. Afrobeats Songs, Adult Pop Airplay, Pop Airplay, Rhythmic Airplay, and World Digital Song Sales charts. To top it off, “Calm Down” secured the Best Afrobeats award at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards last month.

The release of “Pretty Girl” coincides with Ice’s eagerly awaited debut on Saturday Night Live for the 49th season premiere, hosted by Pete Davidson. The performance marked the return of the live sketch comedy show, which had been on hiatus since May due to a resolved writers’ strike. Ice Spice also celebrated her victory as the Best Breakthrough Hip-Hop Artist at the 2023 BET Hip-Hop Awards earlier this week. Moreover, Ice is set to open for Doja Cat on selected dates during the Scarlet Tour next month. On the other side, Rema has been announced as the co-headliner alongside Kendrick Lamar for the second night of the Hey Neighbour Festival in Pretoria, South Africa, scheduled for December 8-10.

“Pretty Girl” is now available for streaming:
