Randy Rainbow Quotes Jay-Z’s ’99 Problems’ in RFK Jr.-Roasting New Song Parody: ‘The Worms in His Brain Clearly Drove Him Insane’
Political satirist Randy Rainbow has released a new musical parody targeting U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and President Donald Trump’s administration. The video, titled “The RFK Jr. Lament,” was released on Tuesday, October 13, and opens with a reference to Jay-Z’s 2003 hit “99 Problems” before turning to criticism of Kennedy’s public health positions.

Rainbow introduces the video with a mock news broadcast, declaring that RFK Jr. has “99 million problems.” The reference to Jay-Z’s song sets the tone for the parody, which combines political satire with musical theatre and criticism of the administration’s Make America Healthy Again agenda.
The main performance reworks “Adelaide’s Lament,” a song from the Broadway musical Guys and Dolls. Rainbow rewrites the original lyrics to address Kennedy’s role as health secretary, focusing on his public statements about vaccines, fluoride, Tylenol and peptides, as well as broader concerns about the administration’s health policies.
One of the parody’s most pointed lines is the lyric, “But the worms in his brain clearly drove him insane and now we’re all screwed.” The line references the widely reported account of a parasite found in Kennedy’s brain years before his current government role. Kennedy previously said the incident had not left him with lasting effects.
Rainbow also criticizes the administration’s approach to public health, using the song’s recurring refrain to suggest that decisions made by political leaders can affect the health and well-being of the wider population. The lyrics include references to pesticide exposure, fluoride restrictions and the government agencies responsible for protecting public health.
The new video continues Rainbow’s established format of adapting familiar songs from Broadway and popular music to comment on current political events. His videos often begin with a staged introduction before transitioning into a full musical performance built around rewritten lyrics and references to the week’s political headlines.
Kennedy has been a recurring subject of criticism and satire since becoming a prominent figure in national health policy debates. His views on vaccines and other medical issues have drawn sustained scrutiny from public health professionals and political opponents. Rainbow’s latest parody uses those controversies as the central subject of its lyrics.
The release follows other recent political parodies from Rainbow, including “Dummy with the Wig On Top,” which reworked “The Surrey with the Fringe on Top” from Oklahoma!, and earlier videos aimed at Trump and members of his administration. His work has developed a following for combining musical theatre, celebrity references and political commentary in short-form videos.
The parody was produced, orchestrated, mixed and mastered by Michael J. Moritz Jr., according to BroadwayWorld’s report on the release. Rainbow is also continuing his “National Freakin’ Treasure” tour, with scheduled performances in Olympia and Bellingham, Washington, followed by dates in Palm Desert, California, during the week of October 15.
“The RFK Jr. Lament” adds to Rainbow’s growing collection of political song parodies as the United States approaches the 2026 midterm elections. The video places Kennedy’s health policies and the Trump administration’s broader public health agenda at the centre of its latest musical satire.
