The Hits With the Most Weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s ‘Hot’ Songs Charts: ‘You Say,’ ‘Choosin’ Texas’ & More
Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” has made history on the Billboard Hot 100, while Lauren Daigle’s “You Say” continues to hold the record for the most weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart. The two songs headline a broader list of record-setting hits across Billboard’s genre-specific “Hot” songs rankings, which measure streaming, radio airplay and sales.
According to Billboard’s latest overview, published Oct. 8, “Choosin’ Texas” reached 24 weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100, setting a new record for the chart. The song first topped the ranking on Feb. 14, 2026, and remained at the summit until Taylor Swift’s “Patient Zero” debuted at No. 1 on the chart dated Oct. 10.

Langley’s record-breaking run surpassed Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which had accumulated 22 weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100 since first reaching the top in 2019. Before Langley’s achievement, Carey’s holiday classic shared the record with songs including Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” featuring Billy Ray Cyrus and Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” both of which spent 19 weeks at No. 1.
On the Hot Christian Songs chart, Daigle’s “You Say” remains the longest-running leader, with 132 weeks at No. 1. The song first reached the summit on July 28, 2018, and became a defining release of Daigle’s career. Its extended run reflects its continued presence on Christian radio and streaming platforms since its release.
Other genre charts also feature lengthy No. 1 runs. Bad Omens’ “Just Pretend” holds the record on Hot Hard Rock Songs with 51 weeks at No. 1, while Billie Eilish’s “Birds of a Feather” leads Hot Alternative Songs with 55 weeks. Panic! at the Disco’s “High Hopes” has spent 65 weeks atop Hot Rock & Alternative Songs, and Hozier’s “Too Sweet” holds the Hot Rock Songs record with 70 weeks.
On Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, Marshmello and Bastille’s “Happier” has accumulated 69 weeks at No. 1. Bad Bunny’s “DtMF” leads both Hot Latin Songs, with 72 weeks at the top, and Hot Latin Rhythm Songs, with 71 weeks. His “Baile Inolvidable” has also spent 78 weeks at No. 1 on Hot Tropical Songs.
Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s “Luther” has dominated multiple charts, spending 47 weeks at No. 1 on Hot Rap Songs and 31 weeks atop Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. Bruno Mars’ “I Just Might” has also reached 31 weeks at No. 1 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, matching the run of “Luther” on that chart.
Fuerza Regida’s “Marlboro Rojo” holds the record on Hot Regional Mexican Songs with 34 weeks at No. 1. The track first reached the top on May 31, 2025, and continued to perform strongly as regional Mexican music expanded its presence across U.S. streaming and radio.
Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” remains the longest-running No. 1 on the Holiday 100, with 71 weeks at the top since the chart first ranked the song at No. 1 on Dec. 10, 2011. The 1994 release returns to the chart each holiday season and continues to add to its record.
The latest rankings illustrate the range of songs that have sustained lengthy runs on Billboard’s multimetric charts, from Christian and country hits to Latin, rock, dance and holiday recordings. While “Choosin’ Texas” has set a new benchmark on the Hot 100, “You Say” remains the all-time leader among Billboard’s genre-specific Hot songs surveys.
