Metro Boomin & Future’s “Like That” Featuring Kendrick Lamar Hits No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100, Album Dominates Top 10
“Like That,” the collaboration featuring Kendrick Lamar produced by Metro Boomin, has soared to the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100, marking a significant milestone for all involved.
The track, part of the We Don’t Trust You album by Future and Metro Boomin, claimed the coveted No. 1 position on the chart this week, also serving as Metro Boomin’s inaugural chart-topping song. In the week ending on March 28, “Like That” amassed an impressive 59.6 million streams, garnered 5.6 million radio airplay audience impressions, and sold 9,000 units.
“Like That” follows in the footsteps of Miley Cyrus’ Grammy-winning hit “Flowers,” which amassed 59.7 million streams in its second week upon release last January. Additionally, in terms of debut streams, “Like That” closely trails Taylor Swift’s 2022 song “Anti-Hero.”
For Metro Boomin, “Like That” not only secures his first No. 1 track but also marks Future’s third chart-topping hit, following the success of “Wait for U” featuring Tems and Drake, as well as Drake’s “Way 2 Sexy,” which also features Young Thug.
Taking to X to express his gratitude, Metro Boomin celebrated the achievement, attributing the success of “Like That” solely to streams. “NO PHYSICALS. NO BUNDLES. JUST GREAT MUSIC AND EMBRACE FROM YOU ALL!! THANK YOU!!!!” he exclaimed.
While J. Cole has yet to respond to Kendrick Lamar’s lyrical jabs, Drake has subtly addressed them in recent performances and social media posts, asserting his unwavering confidence and resilience in the face of criticism.
