Swedish Brazilian duo Mesaque e Leo Gringo return with Doses de Saudade, a heartfelt Brazilian pop single about heartbreak, longing and finding the strength to move forward. Written between Sweden and Brazil, the song brings together Brazilian roots and a contemporary European sound.

At the heart of the project are Italo Mesaque, a singer and songwriter from Salvador, Bahia, and Leo Spauls, a Swedish musician, songwriter and producer based in Stockholm. Their partnership grew from a personal connection and developed into a musical meeting point between Brazilian traditions and European influences.

With Doses de Saudade, the duo explores the emotional aftermath of a relationship ending. The song captures the temptation to return, the struggle to resist reaching out and the gradual process of letting go. Its story follows someone moving through the city while memories of a past relationship slowly begin to lose their power.

The title reflects one of the song’s central emotions. Saudade carries feelings of longing, memory, love and absence, making it an especially fitting expression for the experience at the heart of the track. Through this feeling, Mesaque e Leo Gringo connect their Brazilian heritage with their international journey.

The accompanying music video was filmed in Lisbon, where the city’s streets become a backdrop for reflection and renewal. The visual follows Mesaque as he confronts memories of the past before choosing to keep moving forward.
