Los Hermanos Del Alma Unveils “Rumbadum” from Afro-Cuban Rock Album “Oya”

Los Hermanos Del Alma has released their latest single “Rumbadum” from their groundbreaking Afro-Cuban rock album “Oya”. This release marks a new chapter in the band’s ever-evolving musical journey, blending diverse genres into a unique sonic experience.

“Rumbadum” exemplifies the eclectic sound of “Oya”, an album that fuses Afro-beat, Rock-Fusion, Latin-Jazz, and Afro-Cuban Soul. Recorded in Havana, the album represents the culmination of the band’s musical exploration and cultural immersion in Cuba since 2019.

For the creation of “Oya”, the band collaborated with a tribe of Cuban musicians, producing the album in true immersion in Havana. This collaboration has resulted in a unique sound that pushes the boundaries of Afro-Cuban rock.

Following Fred Sumi’s departure in late 2021 to focus on his new project Edkub, Los Hermanos Del Alma has welcomed a new lineup of Latin musicians active on the European scene. The current ensemble includes Ramon Plaza on drums, Juan Pablo Cisneros on bass, Eulogio “Mamby” Arguelles Puey on percussion, and Francisco “Pancho” Llagostera, Santiago Pagès, and Daionys “Jhony” Martinez on vocals.

“Rumbadum” is available now on all major streaming platforms.
