Jung Kook Surprises Fans with ‘3D’ Remix Featuring Justin Timberlake

Jung Kook of BTS has joined forces with Justin Timberlake for an unexpected remix of the BTS star’s popular track “3D.” Released on Friday (Nov. 24), the remix showcases the extraordinary harmonies of these two superstar singers over a sleek production with a nostalgic mid-2000s hip-hop/dance vibe.

Timberlake’s verse in the remix brings a fresh perspective to the song, the original version of “3D” featured rapper Jack Harlow and served as the opening track of Jung Kook’s debut solo album, “Golden.” The album made an impressive debut at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart, while the song itself peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

This remix comes as Jung Kook prepares to enlist in the South Korean military. In a heartfelt message to BTS ARMY shared on Weverse on Wednesday (Nov. 22), the K-pop sensation expressed his gratitude: “In December, I will start a new journey. I’m leaving you for a while to serve in the military. Every moment I’ve spent with you has been the brightest time of my life. ARMY’s laughter, support, and love led me to this point. Thank you so much for supporting my dream and walking with me silently.”

South Korean law mandates an 18-month military service for all able-bodied men by the age of 28. BTS collectively announced a hiatus in October 2022 to allow all members to fulfill their military duties, with plans to regroup in 2025 upon completion.
