Davido Announces Debut Concert at Madison Square Garden as Part of Timeless Tour

In a groundbreaking move, Afrobeats sensation Davido is set to make history with his first-ever concert at New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden. The exclusive announcement reveals that the performance is scheduled for April 17, 2024, marking a significant milestone in Davido’s illustrious career.

Produced by Duke Concept, the extended Timeless Tour will include three new North American arena dates. The Madison Square Garden show on April 17 will be followed by performances at Montreal’s Place Bell on April 19 and Orlando’s Additional Financial Arena on April 24. This comes on the heels of other major Nigerian acts, such as Burna Boy and Wizkid, headlining MSG in recent years.

Reflecting on this achievement, Davido shares in a statement to Billboard, “Seven years ago, I walked past Madison Square Garden and looked at it and said, ‘We gonna come back and shut this down.’ So to be here now, able to play Madison Square Garden, in New York, one of the first cities and fans to embrace my music, at this iconic venue … it’s a dream come true.”

Davido is currently nominated for Best African Music Performance for the summer hit “Unavailable” with Musa Keys and Best Global Music Album for his fourth studio album, Timeless, at the upcoming 2024 Grammy Awards.
