Are You an Independent Artist? Here Are 6 Billboard Latin Music Week 2026 Panels You Can’t Miss
Billboard Latin Music Week 2026 is set to return to Miami Beach from Oct. 19-22, bringing artists, executives, songwriters and other music-industry professionals together for four days of panels, conversations, performances and networking opportunities. The event will take place at Faena Forum and will coincide with the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards on Oct. 22.
For independent artists, the 2026 program includes several sessions focused on building sustainable careers outside the traditional major-label system. One of the featured discussions is “Latin Music’s Independent Revolution,” which will bring Virgin Music Group executives Nat Pastor and Víctor González together to discuss the growing role of independent artists and companies in Latin music’s global expansion.

Another session, “Beyond the Algorithm: From Viral Moment to Global Fan Base,” presented by UnitedMasters, will focus on converting online attention into a sustainable international audience. The discussion addresses how artists can build lasting fan communities without relying entirely on traditional major-label and radio structures.
Grupo Frontera will also take part in a case study examining the group’s move from local success to international expansion. Presented by The Orchard, “From Local Creativity to International Expansion: The Grupo Frontera Case Study” will feature members of the band and executives from BorderTown Records and The Orchard discussing the group’s development and global reach.
The program also includes “Building the Tour With Rawayana,” presented by Live Nation. The Venezuelan group will discuss its international touring journey and the growth of its audience as an independent act, giving the session a focus on the business and logistical side of taking an artist’s music beyond its home market.
The first day will also feature “The Power Players: Managers Edition,” with managers Jorge “Pepo” Ferradas, Rebeca León and Walter Kolm. The session will bring attention to the role of artist managers in developing careers, expanding audiences and navigating the international Latin music business.
Songwriters and creators will have their own programming during the week, including “The Stories Behind the Songs: Superstar Q&A” with Kany García. The session will examine her songwriting process and the inspiration behind her music. Other programming across the four-day event will cover touring, the new urbano landscape and the global performance of Spanish-language music.
Billboard has continued expanding the 2026 lineup, with newly announced participants including Becky G, Anuel AA, Ana Mena, Carlos Rivera, Grupo Frontera, Grupo Niche, Lali, Mau y Ricky and Santos Bravos, alongside previously announced artists such as Maluma, Pitbull, Fuerza Regida, Rawayana, Quevedo, Trueno and Ryan Castro.
Billboard Latin Music Week will conclude on Oct. 22, the same day the Billboard Latin Music Awards are scheduled to air live from Miami on Telemundo and Peacock. The 2026 Latin Music Week program continues to include industry panels, artist conversations, Billboard En Vivo performances and networking sessions throughout the four-day event.
