Trump Presents KISS, George Strait, Gloria Gaynor & More Kennedy Center Honorees With Medals in Oval Office

President Donald Trump on Saturday formally awarded the 2025 Kennedy Center Honors to a class of celebrated artists during a medal-presentation ceremony held in the Oval Office.

The 2025 honorees included rock band KISS, country legend George Strait, disco icon Gloria Gaynor, actor Sylvester Stallone and actor-singer Michael Crawford.

During the ceremony, each recipient was presented with a newly designed gold medallion — created and donated by jeweler Tiffany & Co. — hanging from a navy-blue ribbon, replacing the longtime traditional rainbow ribbon with gold plates.

Trump described the group as “perhaps the most accomplished and renowned class ever assembled,” praising them as icons whose “work and accomplishments have inspired, uplifted and unified millions and millions of Americans.”

The awarding ceremony precedes the televised Honors program, scheduled to air Sunday night, which will feature tribute performances in honor of the 2025 class.
