At Milan Fashion Week in September 2024, Swedish fashion label AVAVAV unveiled its Spring/Summer 2025 collection in collaboration with Adidas. The show, held at Milan’s Forza e Coraggio sports arena, transformed the venue into a dynamic runway, merging high fashion with athleticism.

A standout feature of the collection was the reimagined Adidas Superstar sneaker, which incorporated AVAVAV’s signature four-finger design. This fusion resulted in a unique “Superfinger Superstar,” exemplifying the blend of traditional streetwear with avant-garde experimentation.

The runway experience was both theatrical and unconventional. Models competed in 100-meter sprints, intentionally stumbling in four-fingered footwear, adding a layer of performance art to the fashion presentation. This approach underscored AVAVAV’s commitment to blending humor and chaos in its critique of the fashion industry.

Beyond footwear, the collection featured elements like cropped track jackets, exaggerated puffer jackets, and track pants, all adorned with Adidas’s iconic three-stripe branding. Accessories included finger-shaped caps and three-fingered football gloves, reinforcing the collection’s playful and experimental ethos.

The Adidas Originals by AVAVAV collection became available online and in stores in mid-November 2024, offering enthusiasts a chance to own pieces from this avant-garde collaboration.
