Viola&Rosa Release Heartfelt Music Video “Rap d’amore”

Viola&Rosa have released “Rap d’amore,” an emotional music video that celebrates family bonds and memories through a nostalgic 1980s lens. Filmed at Rome’s Roberto Rossellini Cine-Tv Institute, the project brings together three generations of family through music and visual storytelling.
The video stars Viola Ranalletta (who also produced the project) and her mother, Rosa Maria Bassi. Together, they reinterpret a song originally written by Viola’s father and Rosa’s husband, Ettore Ranalletta, who passed away in 2014. The video serves as both a tribute to his memory and a celebration of their shared artistic passion.
“Rap d’amore” blends humour and intimacy while capturing the authentic spirit of 1980s pop culture. Director Christian Dei, working with co-writer Miller Gorini, created a visual experience that balances lightness with emotional depth. The vintage aesthetic is brought to life through Renato Rosati’s cinematography, Francesco Bortolan’s editing, and Leonardo Bonfitto’s energetic 80s-inspired choreography.
The production features colorful period costumes by Angela Bove, delicate makeup by Maria Lucia Rinaldi, and authentic school and family settings designed by Giorgia Orlandi. Students from the Rossellini Institute, guided by teacher Clemente Sablone, participated in the filming, making it both an educational experience and a community effort.
Produced by Viola Ranalletta for Littlefrog Film, “Rap d’amore” demonstrates that creativity truly is a family affair. The project stands as a declaration of love, a tribute to memory, and proof that art can bridge generations and heal through shared expression.
