The All’s Eye Releases New Single “Carriage House”
The All’s Eye, a genre-defying trio featuring guitarist and composer Ari Joshua, drummer Ben Atkind, and keyboardist Kris Yunker, have released their new single “Carriage House”.
Recorded in a single overnight session at Connecticut’s historic Carriage House Studios, “Carriage House” captures the raw, spontaneous energy of the trio’s musical chemistry. The instrumental track blends soul-jazz and old-school funk, with Kris Yunker’s Hammond organ textures and clavinet work intertwining with Ari Joshua’s expressive guitar lines and Ben Atkind’s deep, propulsive grooves. The recording hints at a future vocal version with layered harmonies, teasing what’s still to come from the group.
Each member brings decades of experience to The All’s Eye. Ari Joshua’s background spans NYC jazz clubs and national rock circuits, while Kris Yunker’s resume includes work with Bearly Dead and the Alan Evans Trio, showcasing his mastery of soul, funk, and exploratory keyboard textures. Ben Atkind, known for his work with ElephantProof and Houseplant, anchors the trio with a rhythmic sensibility honed in the jam scene. Together, they create a sound that feels both timeless and fresh—a fusion of improvisational freedom and tight, groove-based interplay.
Mastered by renowned engineer Joe Lambert, whose credits include The Black Keys and Animal Collective, “Carriage House” evokes the warmth of vintage organ trios while pushing into new sonic territory. The track serves as a preview of The All’s Eye’s live energy, which audiences experienced firsthand on their just ended tour.
