Timothée Chalamet Dreams Very Big, Becoming First Person to Appear Atop Las Vegas Sphere for ‘Marty Supreme’ Promo

Timothée Chalamet made headlines this week by becoming the first person ever to stand atop the Las Vegas Sphere as part of an ambitious promotional campaign for his new film Marty Supreme, which is set to debut on Christmas Day 2025. In a video released on social media and shared widely across entertainment outlets, Chalamet, 29, is shown harnessed above the iconic venue while proclaiming the film’s release date and shouting “Dream big!” as the Sphere’s exterior transforms into a giant orange ping-pong ball — a central visual motif tied to the movie’s story.

The stunt was executed in collaboration with the film’s distributor A24, Sphere Studios, and sponsor Cash App, which also rolled out a limited-edition Marty Supreme card featuring custom stamps that tie into the movie’s imagery. The location’s LED exosphere displayed thematic elements, including ping-pong graphics and the film’s title, underscoring the unique scale of the marketing effort.
Marty Supreme, directed by Josh Safdie, follows the story of Marty Mauser — portrayed by Chalamet — a young man striving to become a champion table tennis player against the odds. The feature also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A’zion, Kevin O’Leary, Tyler the Creator, Abel Ferrara, and Fran Drescher, and has drawn anticipation in the lead-up to its holiday season release.
The promotional appearance atop the Sphere arrives amid a broader press tour characterized by unconventional marketing tactics, with Chalamet previously appearing on late-night television and engaging in other eye-catching events to raise awareness for the film.
