Raro Honors Roman Rap Legacy with “Vero Rap”

Emerging from the heart of the Quadraro neighbourhood, Roman rapper Raro releases “Vero Rap”, a hard-hitting anthem that bridges the golden era of Roman hip-hop with the energy of its next generation. The track, featured in his second EP “Qualcosa Di Raro” accompanied by a powerful music video steeped in the city’s rap heritage.

Raro first made his mark with “Zitto”, a standout feature on Darrinkay’s album “Sangre Fria” alongside Chef Joe and Jdr, where his technical precision and lyrical intensity caught immediate attention. In 2023, he dropped his debut single “Prossimo Re”, with an official video produced by Bluesquare and Burnt Youth, setting the tone for what would become a promising rise.
His first EP, “Raro Chi?” (2024) made waves across Rome, earning him victories in two of the city’s most respected rap competitions: Crytical Flow and Rap Cage. Now, with “Vero Rap”, Raro takes a definitive step forward both honoring and reshaping the genre he grew up on.
Directed by Rebel Video and produced by No Cash Out, the “Vero Rap” video is a visual homage to the titans of Roman rap. Shot in iconic settings that defined the movement, the video resurrects the raw spirit of the scene with visual nods to Noyz Narcos, Primo Brown, Colle Der Fomento, Gemitaiz, Nayt, Gose, Mezzosangue, Ketama, and Achille Lauro.
