Taylor Swift’s ‘I Knew It, I Knew You’ Spends Fourth Month at No. 1 on Top Movie Songs Chart

Taylor Swift continues to dominate Billboard’s Top Movie Songs chart, as her track “I Knew It, I Knew You,” from Toy Story 5, spends a fourth consecutive month at No. 1. The song maintained its position on the September 2026 ranking, extending its run after previously leading the June, July and August editions.

The latest chart, published on October 30, is powered by Tunefind, a Songtradr company, and combines music and film data from Tunefind with sales and streaming figures tracked by Luminate. The ranking generally focuses on songs featured in films released during the preceding three months, while also making exceptions for movies whose soundtracks continue to attract significant public interest.

Released on June 5 ahead of Toy Story 5’s theatrical premiere on June 19, “I Knew It, I Knew You” quickly became a major chart success. The track debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 dated June 20 and held the position for two weeks. It also remained inside the Hot 100’s top 10 throughout September, including three weeks at No. 3.

According to Luminate, the song generated 40.5 million official streams in the United States during September and sold 7,000 downloads. Those figures helped it maintain the top position on the monthly movie music ranking.

Tame Impala’s “Loser,” featured in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, placed second for the second consecutive month. The 2025 track experienced renewed attention following the film’s July 31 release, earning 43.6 million U.S. streams and 3,000 downloads during September. It also reached a new peak of No. 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 dated August 29.

Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide” claimed No. 3 following its appearance in Practical Magic 2, which premiered on September 10. The song accumulated 27.5 million U.S. streams and 3,000 downloads during the tracking period. King Harvest’s “Dancing in the Moonlight,” another track featured in the sequel, followed at No. 8 with 12.4 million streams and 1,000 downloads.

Other songs from Spider-Man: Brand New Day also appeared in the top 10. Steve Lacy’s “Oh Yeah?” landed at No. 4 with 37.8 million streams and 1,000 downloads, while Bad Bunny’s “EoO” placed at No. 6 after collecting 22.7 million streams and 1,000 downloads.

Oasis’ “Wonderwall,” associated with Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger, ranked fifth. Stephen Wilson Jr.’s “Stand By Me,” featured in Heart of the Beast, took No. 7, while Bruce Springsteen appeared twice on the ranking through “I’m on Fire” and “Dancing in the Dark,” featured in Mayday at Nos. 9 and 10, respectively.

Swift’s fourth consecutive monthly victory follows the song’s strong performance across streaming, sales and weekly chart rankings since its release. Its continued presence at the top also keeps Toy Story 5 represented prominently on the September 2026 Top Movie Songs chart, despite the arrival of newer film soundtracks during the month.
