Taylor Swift, The Beatles, Elvis & More Artists With the Most Weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200: Full List
Taylor Swift has increased her record-breaking run on the Billboard 200, bringing her career total to 99 weeks at No. 1 after The Life of a Showgirl returned to the top of the chart dated Oct. 10, 2026. The achievement places Swift second among all artists in cumulative weeks at No. 1, behind The Beatles, who have spent 132 weeks atop the chart since its weekly rankings began in 1956.
Swift’s latest milestone further extends her lead among solo artists. She surpassed Elvis Presley’s long-standing record of 67 weeks at No. 1 in December 2023, when 1989 (Taylor’s Version) returned to the summit. Presley’s total spans multiple albums released between 1956 and 2002, while Swift’s weeks at the top come from her original albums, re-recordings and other chart-topping releases.

The Beatles remain the overall leaders with 132 weeks at No. 1. Their chart history includes 19 No. 1 albums, beginning with Meet the Beatles! in 1964 and continuing through later releases and compilations, including 1, which topped the Billboard 200 in 2000 and 2001. Their most successful individual album on the chart was Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, which spent 15 weeks at No. 1 in 1967.
Presley ranks third overall with 67 weeks at No. 1, followed by Garth Brooks with 52 weeks and Michael Jackson with 51. Brooks’ total includes albums such as Ropin’ the Wind and The Hits, while Jackson’s includes Thriller, which spent 37 weeks at the top in 1983 and 1984.
Whitney Houston and the Kingston Trio are tied with 46 weeks at No. 1. Houston’s total includes The Bodyguard soundtrack, which spent 20 weeks at the summit in 1992 and 1993. The Kingston Trio’s chart history was concentrated between 1958 and 1960, with The Kingston Trio at Large spending 15 weeks at No. 1.
Morgan Wallen has accumulated 43 weeks at No. 1, driven in large part by One Thing at a Time, which spent 19 weeks atop the Billboard 200 in 2023 and 2024. Drake follows with 41 weeks, including the 13-week run of Views in 2016. Adele has recorded 40 weeks at No. 1, with 21 accounting for 24 of those weeks between 2011 and 2012.
Elton John has spent 39 weeks at No. 1, while Fleetwood Mac and The Rolling Stones have each recorded 38 weeks. Harry Belafonte and The Monkees are tied at 37 weeks, with The Monkees holding the record for the longest consecutive run by an act on the list: 31 weeks at No. 1 between 1966 and 1967.
The wider ranking also includes Prince and Eminem, each with 35 weeks at No. 1, as well as the Eagles and Mariah Carey, who have each accumulated 30 weeks. These totals reflect the combined weeks that qualifying albums spent at the top of the Billboard 200 rather than the number of No. 1 albums an artist has earned.
The Billboard 200 began publishing consistent weekly album rankings in March 1956. Its cumulative-weeks record tracks how long albums by each artist have occupied the chart’s top position over time, allowing artists from different musical eras to be compared using the same measure. Swift’s total of 99 weeks, as of the Oct. 10, 2026, chart, leaves her 33 weeks behind The Beatles’ all-time record.
