R&B artist SZA has announced she will be auctioning a one-on-one experience with a fan as part of the Freedom for Sudan fundraising effort. The auction, which runs from January 6 through January 12, offers bidders the chance to hang out with SZA either via Zoom or in person for fans living in Los Angeles, with the singer sharing that she’s open to a wide range of activities during the session, from talking about current events to listening to music together.

SZA’s auction contribution also includes a signed five-piece merchandise bundle, and she is participating alongside other major artists like The Weeknd, Olivia Rodrigo, Central Cee and PinkPantheress in the online fundraiser aimed at raising awareness and aid for Sudan.

Organized through the platform GalaBid, the Freedom for Sudan auction’s proceeds are intended to support Sudanese non-profits providing medical care, food assistance and other essential aid for civilians affected by the ongoing humanitarian crisis stemming from prolonged conflict in the country.

SZA has used her social media to promote the auction and emphasize its cause, expressing willingness to meet the winning bidder in person if possible and encouraging participation to help raise funds and awareness for those suffering amid the crisis.
