SZA Co-Signs Hayley Williams’ Live ‘Love Galore’ Cover: ‘I Really Love Her So Much’

SZA has shown her appreciation for Hayley Williams after the Paramore frontwoman performed a live cover of her 2017 hit “Love Galore.” The R&B singer reacted to a fan-recorded video of Williams singing the track during her Sept. 30, 2026, show in Auburn, Washington, reposting the clip on her Instagram Story with the message, “I really love her so much.”

Williams performed the song during a stop on The Hayley Williams Show, her ongoing solo tour. The performance featured Williams putting her own vocal style on the track, which originally appeared on SZA’s debut studio album, Ctrl, and features Travis Scott. Footage of the moment circulated on social media before reaching SZA.

Released in 2017, “Love Galore” became one of the defining singles from Ctrl. The song marked SZA’s first appearance on the Billboard Hot 100 and eventually peaked at No. 32. Its success helped establish her as a major voice in contemporary R&B, while the album went on to receive widespread recognition.

Williams has spent much of her career moving between rock, pop and alternative music, first gaining international recognition as the lead singer of Paramore. The band has earned 11 entries on the Billboard Hot 100, including a top 10 hit, while its self-titled 2013 album became its first No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

The current tour supports Williams’ solo album Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, released in 2025. The project reached No. 12 on the Billboard 200, becoming her highest-charting solo album on the chart. The tour features songs from across her solo catalogue, including material from Petals for Armor and FLOWERS for VASES / descansos.

Williams has also incorporated covers and musical references into her recent live performances. Earlier dates on the tour included a rendition of Nina Simone’s “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood” and a Portishead reference during “Simmer.” Her performance of “Love Galore” adds SZA’s music to the collection of songs she has brought into her live set.

SZA’s response has brought renewed attention to the performance and the connection between the two artists. Although they are known for different musical styles, Williams’ rendition of “Love Galore” gave fans an opportunity to hear the R&B hit interpreted by a singer best known for her work in alternative rock.
