Sanio & Zarth Release Cross-Cultural Electronic Reimagining of Turkish Folk Classic

Electronic music production duo Sanio & Zarth announce the release of their latest single, a contemporary electronic reimagining of an Orhan Gencebay Turkish folk classic. The track, available now on all major streaming platforms, represents a bold fusion of cultural influences that defines the duo’s unique sonic identity.

Sanio & Zarth is the musical alias of Leo and Erhan, two engineers-turned-producers who met while studying in Nuremberg Germany. Their creative partnership bridges continents and cultures—Leo was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (with German heritage), while Erhan grew up in Germany with Turkish parents.

The single showcases how their diverse backgrounds converge in their productions, creating a sound that transcends geographic and cultural boundaries. By reimagining a traditional Turkish folk composition through their distinctive electronic lens, Sanio & Zarth demonstrate their commitment to honouring musical heritage while pushing creative boundaries.

After meeting in Nuremberg and discovering their mutual passion for electronic music, the pair became roommates, dedicating their spare time to music production and DJing. This close creative proximity has allowed them to develop a seamless collaborative workflow, evident in the polish and cohesion of their latest release.

This release marks an important milestone in the duo’s ongoing mission to create electronic music that respects tradition while embracing innovation, building cultural bridges through sound.
