The singer addressed the controversy in a lengthy statement after facing criticism for resharing a post from StopAntisemitism that criticized Macklemore’s appearance during Sheeran’s Loop Tour.

Macklemore had performed his protest song “Hind’s Hall” during the concert and led the audience in calls to “Free Palestine.” He has continued to publicly advocate for Palestinians and has said that his message is about equality and the treatment of civilians rather than Jewish people.

Pink initially reshared a post criticizing Macklemore’s appearance, which prompted strong reactions online. In her subsequent statement, she clarified that the repost did not represent every aspect of her views and said she was reacting specifically to Macklemore’s actions and the way his message was presented during the concert.

The singer identified herself as Jewish and said she was concerned about how some Jewish concertgoers may have experienced Macklemore’s remarks and imagery. Pink also referenced a 2014 incident involving Macklemore wearing a costume that drew accusations of antisemitic imagery, noting that the rapper had previously apologized for the incident.

Pink also addressed the broader Israel-Palestine conflict in her statement, saying she does not oppose calls to “Free Palestine.” She condemned Hamas while also stating that Palestinians deserve a future with safety and dignity and that innocent lives should be protected.
