Italian avant-pop provocateur Petrolio returns with his third single, “Frida Calo”, a searing, ironic declaration of intent that walks the line between satire and tragedy, philosophy and performance art. Frida Calo is a curtain-raising manifesto, a layered reflection on self-illusion, cultural decay, and the performative absurdity of modern life.

Opening with the cryptic self-portrait, “I am Squallor disguised as a shark,” Petrolio sets the tone for a piece that is part character study, part cultural dissection.
