Ooberfuse Releases Peace Anthem “To Love To Peace Today” Recorded in Historic City

In advance of Peace Sunday and the World Day of Peace, London-based alternative pop duo Ooberfuse has released a powerful new single recorded directly inside Soul Bar in Bethlehem. Created in collaboration with local Palestinian musicians, the track offers an urgent, ground-level plea for peace, rooted in the daily reality of a living city often viewed only through a symbolic lens.

Rather than crafting a distant “peace song,” the artists chose to record on location in one of Bethlehem’s most vital creative spaces. Soul Bar, a small independent venue, has become a crucial meeting point for local musicians preserving culture amidst ongoing hardship. With regional instruments like the oud blending with guitars and keyboards on its intimate stage, the recording captures the authentic sound and spirit of Bethlehem’s artistic community.

“Bethlehem isn’t a symbol in a Christmas card. It’s a living community asking the world to stop looking away,” “When you record music here, peace stops being theoretical. It becomes something urgent, personal, and local.”

The single arrives as a reminder that peace is not merely an annual sentiment but a daily struggle for those living in the very place where the message of peace originated. “We didn’t come to make a symbolic gesture. We came to listen,” the collaborators note. “The birthplace of peace is asking for peace again, through music.”

Recorded in Bethlehem in December 2025 and released via Future Sound of Fire records, the track lands at a moment when global attention to peace is critically needed. Ooberfuse, known for their global touring and support from BBC Radio 2, Rolling Stone India, and The Guardian, brought their pop sensibility to the collaboration, while ensuring the voice and musicianship of Bethlehem remained central.

The single is available now on YouTube and available to stream on Spotify on 13th Jan 2026:
