Normani Stars in ‘Sports Illustrated’ Swimsuit Issue With Brittany Mahomes & More NFL WAGs, Says Beyoncé Is Her Dream Collab: ‘She Is Her Standard’

Normani appears as one of the cover stars of Sports Illustrated’s February 2026 digital Swimsuit Issue, featuring six NFL wives and girlfriends photographed at the South Seas resort on Captiva Island, Florida, alongside Brittany Mahomes, Christen Goff, Ronika Love, Claire Kittle and Haley Cavinder. The issue, released ahead of Super Bowl LX, celebrates women connected to the NFL who are redefining the traditional “WAG” label by showcasing their own careers and identities beyond football sidelines — including Normani, a Grammy-nominated pop artist engaged to Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf.

In her feature with the magazine, Normani confirmed that new music is currently in the works, responding to long-standing fan demand for her next project after her 2024 debut solo album Dopamine. She acknowledged that she pays close attention to her supporters and hinted at creative momentum as she evolves her artistic path.

Normani also spoke about her musical inspirations when asked about dream collaborations for future work, naming Beyoncé as a defining influence. She described Beyoncé’s longevity, innovation and grace as inspirational, saying that the way Beyoncé carries herself and continually pushes creative boundaries sets a standard she aspires to.

The digital Swimsuit Issue aims to highlight these women’s varied achievements, from sports and entrepreneurship to entertainment, emphasizing their individual stories and presence in the cultural landscape.
