My Chemical Romance Tease Possible New Album During Tour-Closing Show

My Chemical Romance appeared to hint at the possibility of new music during the closing show of their latest tour, giving fans another reason to speculate about what could come next for the band.

The group has been performing across its recent tour cycle following its return to live shows and the release of its 2022 album The Foundations of Decay. During the tour-closing performance, the band made comments that were interpreted by fans as a possible indication that another album could be in the works.

My Chemical Romance has not formally announced a new album, release date or title. The band’s most recent full-length project remains Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, released in 2010, while The Foundations of Decay marked their first new music since their 2013 breakup.

The group reunited for live performances beginning in 2019, with their planned return to the stage delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Their reunion eventually led to a series of major festival appearances and international touring dates.

The band’s return has also included the release of new material connected to its live era, while members Gerard Way, Mikey Way, Ray Toro and Frank Iero have continued performing together.

For now, My Chemical Romance has not confirmed whether the comments at the tour-closing show represent a forthcoming album or simply another tease from the band. Fans are awaiting an official announcement regarding any new recording project.
