Megan Thee Stallion Kicks Off Spooky Season With Carved Pumpkin-Head Photo Shoot Tradition: See the Pics

Megan Thee Stallion has officially welcomed spooky season with the return of her annual pumpkin-head photo tradition. The rapper shared a new series of photos on Friday, Oct. 2, continuing a Halloween ritual that has become an October fixture for her fans.

The latest photos show Megan posing while wearing a large carved jack-o’-lantern over her head. The images arrived one day later than the traditional Oct. 1 kickoff, with Megan explaining on her Instagram Stories that she had been working on Oct. 1.

The Houston rapper has been sharing pumpkin-head photos around the beginning of October for several years. The tradition dates back to 2021, when she first posted images of herself wearing a large pumpkin mask while posing in everyday settings.

Megan brought the pumpkin back in 2022, 2023 and 2024, continuing to change the settings and details of the annual photoshoots. In 2025, she again used the pumpkin-head look while adding Halloween-themed nail art and other seasonal details to the photos.

The annual post has become closely associated with the beginning of Megan’s “Hottieween” celebrations. Fans began asking about this year’s installment after Oct. 1 passed without the customary pumpkin-head photos appearing on her social media.

Megan eventually addressed the delay before posting the 2026 photos. In her Instagram Stories, she told fans, “Look, I was working on Oct 1st okayyy,” before sharing the new images the following day.

This year’s shoot also features celebrity hairstylist Kellon Deryck. The pumpkin-head photos continue Megan’s tradition of combining the Halloween prop with fashion, beauty looks and staged poses for her seasonal social-media posts.

The pumpkin tradition follows several recent appearances and projects from Megan. In September, she spoke publicly about her breakup with Klay Thompson in a Marie Claire cover story, while she also attended the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards during the latest awards season.

With the 2026 pumpkin-head photos now posted, Megan has once again marked the beginning of October with her recurring Halloween imagery. The new photo series joins the previous pumpkin-head installments that have appeared annually across her social media since 2021.
