Mark Moule Brings Honest Songwriting to Life on “Only Love”

Australian singer-songwriter Mark Moule introduces “Only Love,” a deeply personal debut EP built around emotional songwriting, reflective lyricism, and stripped-back authenticity. Released on February 11, 2026, the project marks a major creative milestone for the Busselton-based artist, bringing songs to life that have remained with him for years.

At the center of the EP is the title track “Only Love,” a song that first came to Moule more than 15 years ago. According to the artist, the message behind the track feels even more relevant today than when it was originally written. The opening verse itself reportedly came from a dream, helping shape the emotional tone that carries throughout the release.

Influenced by legendary songwriters such as Cat Stevens and Phil Collins, Moule leans heavily into heartfelt storytelling and emotionally driven writing. His music focuses less on commercial polish and more on sincerity, using simple but meaningful songwriting to connect with listeners on a personal level.

Before the release of the EP, Moule spent years developing his craft through local open mic performances across Australia’s live music circuit. Those performances helped shape his confidence as a songwriter and performer, earning strong reactions from audiences along the way. One listener reportedly told him his songs deserved to be “played in a stadium,” reflecting the emotional connection his writing has been able to create in intimate live settings.

The project was developed alongside fellow musician Andy McManus, whom Moule met through the local music scene. Working together from McManus’s home studio, the pair approached the recording process as a shared learning experience. Rather than aiming for overproduction, they focused on preserving the raw emotion and honesty within the songs.

That intimate recording environment became a defining part of the EP’s identity. Captured largely inside a friend’s music room, “Only Love” carries a warm and unfiltered atmosphere that mirrors the personal nature of the songwriting itself. The project embraces imperfections and emotional openness, allowing the performances to feel genuine and lived-in.

Across the EP, Mark Moule explores themes of love, reflection, vulnerability, and human connection. The songs are rooted in emotional experiences rather than trends, giving the project a timeless quality shaped by sincerity and patience.

With “Only Love,” Mark Moule delivers an introduction grounded in honest storytelling and emotional depth, presenting a debut release that reflects years of thought, experience, and quiet dedication to songwriting.
