London-Based Singer-Songwriter Casey McQuillen Releases Bittersweet Ballad ‘Wedding Date’

London-based singer-songwriter Casey McQuillen has released her deeply emotional single, “Wedding Date,” following a whirlwind year touring sold-out venues across Europe alongside pop icons Anastacia and Eurovision winner Loreen. The haunting ballad tells a story of love caught between longing and loss, capturing the bittersweet feeling of an ‘almost’ romance replayed on loop.

Set against the backdrop of someone else’s perfect wedding day, with champagne toasts, white bouquets, a cover band under the trees, and two old flames falling into a cycle they cannot hold onto, the song unfolds like a cinematic romance. Its powerful bridge contains long-distance calls, last-minute parties, wine-soaked confessions, and the aching refrain, “I know the end before we begin,” reflecting the painful cycle of chasing a doomed connection. “Wedding Date” offers an intimate and aching soundtrack for anyone who has ever been someone’s almost.
This release follows Casey’s uplifting pop-rock anthem ‘Better Than This,’ inspired by her journey of moving to London and pursuing her music career. That track showcased her powerful songwriting and delivered an inspiring message for those starting a new chapter in life. Earlier this year, Casey captured audiences during a sold-out European tour supporting Loreen, followed by a successful run joining Anastacia on tour in April and May. Since February 15th, she has performed across 53 arena shows, connecting with over a quarter-million fans through her relatable lyrics, confidence, and undeniable talent. She recently completed a 15-date headline tour across the UK and Europe, where she further demonstrated her dynamic stage presence and heartfelt performances.
With a history of supporting renowned artists such as James Morrison, Beverley Knight, Marti Pellow, Newton Faulkner, Will Young, and many others, Casey has organically built a loyal following with tens of thousands of social media followers and millions of streams and views online. Her music’s authenticity and intimacy continue to resonate deeply with fans worldwide.
Her debut album, ‘Skinny,’ which includes the hit single ‘In & Out’ featuring Jon McLaughlin, received major playlist placements from Apple Music and Amazon Music, gaining widespread recognition. The honest and empowering themes in her music reflect her personal struggles and triumphs.
Casey is a passionate anti-bullying advocate, shaped by her own experiences growing up. She has performed her influential concert series at over 200 middle and high schools across the US, UK, and Ireland, reaching more than 50,000 students with her ‘You Matter’ tour. This initiative, recognized by the UN Foundation and recently featured on The Kelly Clarkson Show, uses music as a positive platform to support young people facing bullying and mental health challenges.
Aligning with her advocacy, Casey was recently announced as an ambassador for global youth charity Ditch The Label. The charity supports young people aged 12 to 25 worldwide with confidential mentoring around mental health, bullying, identity, and relationships. Casey’s emotionally charged album ‘Skinny,’ which addresses body image struggles, makes this partnership a natural fit. Together, they aim to raise awareness and bring hope to young people navigating difficult issues.
With the release of “Wedding Date” and the momentum from her headline tour, Casey McQuillen continues to establish herself as a powerful voice both musically and socially, using her platform to share honest stories and inspire positive change.
