Lil Durk Opens Up About Drake’s Mention in Young Thug’s ‘Oh U Went’ During Ari Melber Interview

Lil Durk recently sat down with political analyst and journalist Ari Melber for an insightful 30-minute interview, which premiered on MSNBC’s YouTube channel on Friday (Nov. 17). In this conversation, the Chicago rapper addressed Drake’s mention of him in Young Thug’s track “Oh U Went.”

On the track, Drake delivers a provocative verse about a woman showing interest in Durk and the possibility of a threesome.

“She probably let both of us hit/The way that she smirkin’ at Durk/She gettin’ cake off the picture she take/I say, ‘Girl, if it work then it work’/F**k a wedding dress, I’m tryna merk it and skrrt,” Drake raps, purposely using the term “smirk,” which is Durk’s nickname. When asked if the woman did “smirk” at him, Durk responded light-heartedly, “I hope so.”

“I’ll feel more confident and more happy with myself,” Durk jokingly added.

When Ari inquired whether the woman was real or a fictional character, Durk explained that Drake resides in his world, aptly named “Drake’s World.” “If he said it, he seen it,” Durk remarked.

During a rapid-fire round with Ari, Durk provided quick one-word descriptions for some of his music peers:

  • Drake: “Owl.”
  • Lil Baby: “The hero.”
  • Jay-Z: “Billionaire.”
  • Polo G: “1300.”
  • J. Cole: “The silent killer.”
  • Morgan Wallen: “The country.”
  • King Von (his late friend): “The Voice.”
