Award-winning artist, author, and disability culture advocate Lachi is bringing joy, movement, and representation to family music with “Moves,” a standout single from her upcoming children’s album Magnificent.

What starts as a playful nod to classic movement songs quickly becomes something much bigger. “Moves” takes a familiar concept and reimagines it through an inclusive lens, celebrating the many different ways people move, express themselves, and experience the world. At the heart of the song is a simple but powerful message: every body is different, and that’s something worth celebrating.

Driven by energetic Pop Rap production and interactive call-and-response moments, the track features disability advocate and artist Dom Kelly alongside a chorus of voices from the disability community, including TV personality Jay Thomas Manuel. As different forms of movement are highlighted throughout the song, listeners are met with an enthusiastic response of “And that’s cool too,” creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages participation and self-expression.

Produced by Lachi alongside Grammy-nominated duo Andrew & Polly and Grammy-winning artist Lucy Kalantari, “Moves” builds into a lively celebration filled with layered vocals, playful instrumentation, and infectious energy. The song is designed to get children moving while also opening the door to meaningful conversations about inclusion and belonging.

The release arrives ahead of Magnificent, a 10-track children’s album featuring more than 70 collaborators, many of whom are artists, musicians, writers, and advocates with disabilities and neurodivergent experiences. Through a mix of pop, hip hop, R&B, and global influences, the project aims to create a joyful space where every child feels seen.
