KO1KEYZ’s Debut Single ‘KO1KEYZ’ Tops Japan Hot 100, Vaundy’s Film Theme ‘Shiwaawase’ Enters Top 10
KO1KEYZ has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 with its self-titled debut single, marking a major start for the 12-member boy group formed through the audition program PRODUCE 101 JAPAN SHINSEKAI. The chart, published on October 14, 2026, tracks activity from October 5 through October 11, the same week the group made its official debut in Japan and South Korea.
The title track, “KO1KEYZ,” generated 525,248 physical sales during its first week, securing the top position on Billboard Japan’s Top Singles Sales chart. It also ranked No. 2 in radio airplay, No. 4 in digital downloads with 3,546 downloads, and No. 10 in video views. The combined performance across the chart’s measurements helped the song claim the overall Hot 100 lead in its first week.

KO1KEYZ officially debuted on October 7 with a release that included the title track and additional songs such as “恋GAME,” “Key of Story,” “BLACK ANGEL,” “Neko (ねこ)” and the group’s version of the program theme song “新世界 (SHINSEKAI).” The release followed the group’s formation through the Japanese audition series, which assembled the 12 members for a simultaneous Japan-South Korea launch.
Mrs. GREEN APPLE’s “Kyouhan” climbed from No. 8 to No. 2 on the latest Japan Hot 100. The track, from the band’s sixth original full-length album POPS, led radio airplay and ranked No. 3 in video views and No. 5 in streaming, with 5.75 million streams during the tracking period. The group continued to maintain a strong presence on the chart, placing 20 songs in the top 100, including several tracks from the album.
EBiDAN’s “Yes! Tokyo,” featuring members and acts associated with the wider EBiDAN collective, ranked No. 3. The song placed No. 1 in video views and No. 2 in streaming, with nearly 7.95 million streams during the week. STU48’s “Fuyu Fuku ni Kigaetara” entered at No. 4 after selling 202,645 copies, while Ayumu Imazu’s “Musubi” rose from No. 20 to No. 5 on the strength of streaming activity.
Vaundy’s “Shiwaawase” made one of the week’s biggest jumps, rising from No. 49 to No. 10. The song serves as the theme for the Japanese film Mama ga Mou Kono Sekai ni Inakutemo: Watashi no Inochi no Nikki, released in cinemas on October 2. It ranked No. 4 in streaming with 5.84 million streams and No. 9 in downloads, helping it break into the Hot 100’s top 10.
The rise of “Shiwaawase” also featured prominently on Billboard Japan’s Hot Shot Songs chart, which tracks songs gaining momentum across downloads, streaming and video views. The Vaundy song ranked No. 3 on that ranking. Other tracks by the singer, including “Tokyo Flash” and “Hanauranai,” also appeared among the chart’s leading songs, reflecting increased activity around his catalogue.
KAITO, the solo project of King & Prince member Kaito Takahashi, entered the Japan Hot 100 at No. 8 with “swim?,” his first digital single under the name. Released on October 5, the song topped the Hot Shot Songs chart after leading digital downloads with 28,300 units. Its debut marked a new stage in Takahashi’s musical activities outside his work with King & Prince.
M!LK’s “Suki Sugite Metsu!” held at No. 9, while FRUITS ZIPPER’s “Power of Love” climbed from No. 68 to No. 6. Mrs. GREEN APPLE also maintained a second entry in the top 10 with “Brand New” at No. 7. The range of releases in the upper ranks reflected a week driven by a major physical-sales debut, strong streaming numbers and songs gaining renewed exposure through film and other media.
The Billboard Japan Hot 100 combines physical sales, digital downloads, audio streaming, radio airplay, video views and karaoke data to determine its weekly rankings. KO1KEYZ’s debut single benefited from a particularly strong first-week sales performance, while “Shiwaawase” advanced through streaming and downloads following the film’s release.
With KO1KEYZ opening at No. 1 and Vaundy’s “Shiwaawase” entering the top 10, the October 14 chart marked a week of notable movement across Japan’s music market. The rankings also highlighted the continued presence of established acts such as Mrs. GREEN APPLE and EBiDAN alongside new releases from emerging and crossover artists.
