Before his solo work, he spent ten years performing with a band called The Flowerheads, further shaping his identity as a songwriter and performer. Born in 1965, Keith Woodhouse has spent significant portions of his life in psychiatric hospitals, environments that unexpectedly became central to his creative process. Rather than distancing himself from those experiences, he used them as material for songwriting, observation, and reflection. Many of his recordings were written and developed during those years, giving his catalog a perspective rooted in resilience and personal truth.

Now residing in a care home in Devon, Woodhouse continues creating music and collaborating with others. One of those collaborations includes the track “Psychiatric,” created alongside the care home manager as part of his album The Planet Who, which is available on streaming platforms.
