South-London R&B artist James Vickery has released his exciting new studio album called JAMES. on Red Bull Records. This album marks a special moment in his career, blending classic R&B, 1970s funk, soul, and pop sounds from the late 1990s and early 2000s that inspired him.

The album reflects an amazing year for James so far. Before this album, he released beautiful singles such as “All In,” “Right Side,” “Butter,” and “Hotel Lobby.” These songs received great praise from big names like Billboard, Ones To Watch, Apple Music’s The Rebecca Judd Show, BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra, KISS, and The Independent.

For this album, James worked with important music talents including longtime collaborator JD Reid (who has worked with Mahalia and Mabel), producer Larrance Dopson (known for working with Kendrick Lamar, Ella Mai, and Justin Timberlake), and Grammy-nominated songwriter and composer Jonah Christian (who has worked with Beyonce, Normani, and Tems). Together, they created a sound that is new and strong, showing James’s true style in a very honest way.

The album includes a brand-new single called “Fall In Your Arms.” This song is a touching piano ballad where James sings with deep feeling. In it, he says, “I finally feel safe/ ‘cos you’re here by my side. I need it night and day/ And all my problems drift away.”

Other songs on the album include the smooth R&B slow jam “Like That” featuring popular rapper BIA, and a beautiful cover of Aerosmith’s hit “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing.” His fan-favorite track “Hotel Lobby” was featured on the UK show Love Island. James also performed the anthem “Can’t Help Falling In Love” for Crystal Palace Football Club at Wembley’s Box Park during their exciting FA Cup celebrations, and he gave an interview to BBC London TV at the stadium.

His breakthrough performance on COLORS SHOW has almost 40 million views. He has also worked with well-known artists like Kojey Radical, Musiq Soulchild, Kenny Beats, EARTHGANG, and SG Lewis. With strong support from BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra, The Fader, Clash, and Complex, James has built a strong reputation as a top voice in UK R&B music.

JAMES. is a bold, personal work that shows off his voice and musical range. The album moves beyond just R&B, mixing funk, hip-hop, and pop styles. Songs like “Hotel Lobby” have a bossa nova beat, while “Butter” started as a song for another artist but became a heartfelt confession. “Right Side” sounds like a love song but speaks about his hearing loss. “Higher” brings ’80s pop sounds with amazing vocals. The album closes with “Fall In Your Arms,” a raw, emotional ballad.
