Paris Jackson Refutes Colman Domingo’s Claim She Was ‘Helpful’ For Michael Jackson Biopic: ‘Leave Me Out of It’

Paris Jackson has publicly challenged actor Colman Domingo’s recent remarks, rejecting the notion that she played a helpful role in the upcoming biopic Michael. At the amfAR gala during the Venice Film Festival on August 31, 2025, Domingo praised Paris and her brother Prince for their support and guidance, describing Paris as “warm and lovely” and “very helpful” in his portrayal of Joe Jackson, the father of the late Michael Jackson.
Shortly afterward, Paris took to her Instagram Stories to set the record straight. She wrote: “Don’t be telling people I was ‘helpful’ on the set of a movie I had 0% involvement in lol that is so weird,” and insisted that her only interaction consisted of reading a first draft of the script and providing notes on inaccuracies, which she says were not addressed, leading her to disengage from the project.
Paris elaborated further on Instagram, stating that she “gave my notes about what was dishonest/didn’t sit right with me and when they didn’t address it I moved on with my life.” She added, “Not my monkeys, not my circus. God bless and god speed,” underscoring her desire to remain uninvolved .
She also criticized the biopic’s approach, expressing her belief that it pandered to a segment of her father’s fandom “that still lives in the fantasy,” and she made clear she has “no involvement” beyond that initial feedback .
Domingo has not issued any public response to Paris’s statements as of now
