Harry Styles on His Love for Italy and How He’s Slowing Down After Hiatus
Harry Styles is discussing his lifestyle changes and personal reflections following a multi-year break from touring and the public eye. In a new interview published with The Sunday Times Magazine, the 32-year-old singer described how spending extended time in Italy — particularly in Rome — taught him “how to slow down” and enjoy ordinary moments like sitting at a café and having a coffee, experiences he said he rarely made time for in the past while constantly on the road. Styles, who wrapped his Love on Tour in July 2023, said that the pause from music and constant travel allowed him to focus on other parts of his life, including spending time with family — notably getting to know his young niece as she grows up. He noted that the slower pace and lessons from his time in Italy have influenced how he approaches life and work as he returns to the spotlight. Styles has also made personal adjustments such as removing Instagram from his phone to cultivate a healthier relationship with social media and public attention.

During his hiatus, he took up running marathons, completing events like the Tokyo Marathon and Berlin Marathon, and found structure and reward in the challenge. The introspective period helped shape his forthcoming fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally., due March 6, 2026, and the accompanying Together, Together world tour, which is scheduled to begin this May in Amsterdam and run through December in Sydney. His reflections indicate a blend of renewed creative energy with an ongoing commitment to balancing career ambitions and personal well-being.
